OKKE ORNSTEIN: FREEDOM OF SPEECH or HATE CRIMES?
WANTED SA has received over 50 Comments this week in reference to our articles pertaining to the Panamanian "Slut Blogger", a.k.a. Okke Ornstein. The majority of them, our research indicates, actually came from Ornstein himself. He gives himself away in several ways. For instance he uses strange words, the same words he uses quite often on some of the Panamanian forums, such as "Wakka Wakka" or "dear reader"; the latter actually used extensively by him on his own websites.
He also uses a great deal of foul language describing, for example, in the most vicious of terms the Judge who just ordered him to dismantle his web site www.ornstein.org within a week or have the government of Panama take steps to block it. Now it is true that most of us curse from time to time, but how many of us have ever cursed out a judge [by name]?
Freedom of Speech has a major role in our society and all of us should be concerned about its preservation everywhere. However, Freedom of Speech does and should have its limitations [such as not shouting "fire!" in a crowded theater] or using free speech to extort money or blackmail people.
However, the issue gets more complicated when it gets to hate crimes.
Hate Crimes (also known as bias-motivated crimes) occur when a perpetrator targets a victim because of his or her perceived membership in a certain social group, usually defined by racial group, religion, sexual orientation, disability, class, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, gender identity, or political affiliation.[1]
However, the most dangerous aspects of Hate Crimes is that often innocent people are targets bases on someone assuming the role of an executioner for devious purposes; such as. a boy friend of a lady; neighbour who dog barks; bank someone does not like; successful people accusing them of hideous crimes. Hate Crime are the exact motives for crimes against society and not just individual people or groups.
WANTED SA does not now and never will support hate crimes however they are presented and/or disguised. Calling women prostitutes or Russian whores is a hate crime when no evidence is shown to demonstrate the validity of the charge.
Does that stop Orenstein. Of course not.
WANTED SA always welcomes any comments, but we will not post any if they contain foul language. Nor will we alter comments made by our readers or address e-mails from phony web addresses, nor will we ever try and impersonate someone else when we write e-mails. Mr. Orenstein is guilty of all three of the above, but then, as most people now know, he has no conscience. None at all!
Why is that? WANTED SA believes Mr. Orenstein is truly a sick individual, a psychotic who displays all of the classic symptoms of psychosis. He has lost contact with reality. He no longer is capable of thinking rationally [bringing upon himself no less than 18 separate criminal actions]. 'Friends' and acquaintances have told us that he often acts inappropriately [yelling foul language at a court clerk/cursing a man who served him with legal papers, etc.].
But then again, Orenstein no longer has a sense of right or wrong and he certainly has no sense of decency.
So, yes, he is a psychotic.
